The Beaver Scout Section is for young people between 6 and 8 years of age. The Beaver Scout Section is the youngest section in the group. From September 2013 we now have two Beaver colonies in order to meet the demand for places.

Beaver Scouts participate in an active but balanced programme appropriate for their age group aiding their physical, mental and spiritual development. Activities cover a wide range of areas from keeping fit and eating healthily to being creative and exploring.

About Beavers

Beaver Scouts have been undertaking exciting scouting activities for over 25 years, providing opportunities to the youngest members of the Scouting movement. Even at the young age of 6 years old Beaver Scouts learn independence and responsibility as well as social aptitude and many other skills that are key to helping them to grow into well-adjusted young people. The Beaver Scout Section is for young people between 6 and 8 years of age, and is the youngest section in the group.

Beavers participate in an active but balanced programme appropriate for their age group aiding their physical, mental and spiritual development. The broad range of activity areas range from keeping fit and eating healthily to being creative and exploring.

The Leadership Team

All leaders like in all sections at High Green are DBS checked and have completed the basic Scout training enabling us to provide a great, safe team to operate the Beaver Colony.
